HOLTON-le-Clay’s Harry Scott “blitzed” the opposition in a special primary school competition.
His stunning drawing of St Paul’s Cathedral surviving London’s bombardment during the Second World War won first prize in the Humberston Academy-organised event.
Open to Year 6 pupils, dozens entered from six primary schools. The best from each was selected and Harry, from Holton-le-Clay Primary, was announced as the overall winner.
The prize was to have his work displayed in the reception area of the Humberston Avenue school until Christmas.
Humberston Academy Principal Brian Sarahan said: “We had a terrific response to the arts competition and we’d like to thank everybody who has entered and the schools that have been involved.
“There was a high standard but Harry’s stunning picture of St Paul’s during the blitz won the judges’ vote.”
As well as Holton-le-Clay Primary, other schools involved were Humberston Cloverfields, East Ravendale, Middlethorpe, New Waltham and Waltham Leas.<?xml:namespace prefix = o />
