TEACHING AND LEARNING

Teaching and learning lies at the heart of what we do as an Academy and is our core purpose. We have four key aims, and they are:

1) to provide the maximum learning opportunities for all students
2) to provide a quality learning environment throughout our school
3) to make teaching more effective
4) to raise students’ achievement

The Academy employs a wide range of strategies and techniques to ensure that students achieve and surpass their targets. The quality of teaching and learning, and the skills and learning approaches used within the classroom, are regularly monitored and reviewed to ensure the best possible approaches are adopted in our “pursuit of excellence”.
