BRIEF OUTLINE

The separate GCSE Biology, GCSE Chemistry and GCSE Physics will prepare students for A Level studies in any of the sciences in Science and Science based careers.

COURSE CONTENT

The course is suitable for students who wish to follow a traditional academic pathway and it is worth 3 GCSEs.

      - development of the periodic table

      - more about acids and bases

      - water

      - energy calculations

      - analysis

Physics

      - turning forces

      - light and sound

      - electromagnetism

      - stars and space

ENTRY REQUIREMENT

Students need to have a KS3 level of 6+ and a KS4 minimum expectation of B+

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Each GCSE has separate examinations (75%) and coursework (25%).
