(EQUIVALENT TO 2 GCSES GRADE A*-C)

 

BRIEF OUTLINE

The First Diploma in Media is designed to provide you with the opportunities to study and practise a range of media related subjects. If you have an interest in creative activities you will find the course challenging and exciting. Working with specialist tutors and equipment, you will discover the applications of multi-media disciplines, preparing you for the demands of more advanced media courses.

      - Desk Top Publishing

      - Media Theory

 

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Coursework 100%

All work is assessed through the building of a portfolio – no external examinations. OCR Nationals have been designed to be of an equivalent standard to GCSEs at grades A-C.

 

WHY STUDY MEDIA

If you would like to work in the Media, perhaps as a journalist, camera operator, presenter or even in advertising, a good start would be to study the OCR Level 2 Nationals in Media.

This qualification is taught in 2 option blocks. This means that if you pick this course it will take up 2 of your options choices.
